What does Everwild mean?

Across the board, everyone we talk to is excited to hear we are launching a new craft distillery in downtown Sandusky. It’s no secret that Bourbon is in the midst of a national renaissance and we are excited to contribute our unique approach on the only ‘American spirit’. Of course, we are immediately asked “what will you call it?”, because one of the great joys of finding a new bourbon is learning the story behind it, and the most interesting brands always have a story to tell. While I have a really interesting family history - my great great grandfather, John Kennedy Lynch, distilled spirits for 40 years before prohibition destroyed his business - we wanted a brand that was more representative of who we are, rather than offering another dusty history lesson.

Everwild Spirits is the name we chose, and it is a powerful name. It represents the essence of freedom and that intrinsic American spirit we all feel. It represents our personal belief to live your life with a ‘young at heart’ attitude, no matter what your age. Everwild embodies the desire to seek interesting adventures, to never accept complacency and monotony, to approach life every day with an optimistic mindset. To dare to take risks, knowing that win or lose the value and fulfillment comes from trying.
